Phil Smith (Lecturer - Faculty of Community + Culture) has a major article in the current issue of the Faulkner Journal published by the University of Central Florida.

The article, entitled "'The Megaphone's Bellowing and Bodiless Profanity': If I Forget Thee, Jerusalem and the Culture of Cacophony", examines the American writer William Faulkner's novels of the 1930's within the context of the emergent media culture of this period, in particular that of radio, recordings, and early "talking pictures".

Further details on this issue can be found here and the Emily Carr Library will have a copy available shortly.

Congratulations Phil!
