Emily Carr Alumni Featured at Canada's Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai

More than 150 artists will be featured in Canada’s Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, including Emily Carr alumni Eric Deis (01), Marshall Fels Elliott (08), Amanda Forbis (88), Line Severinsen (08) and Wendy Tilby (86).

The Canada Pavilion, the brainchild of Cirque du Soleil and entitled, “The Living City: Inclusive, Sustainable, Creative,” will host an exhibition of more than 40 contemporary Canadian artists where Eric Deis’ photography will be on view. Visitors in the pavilion’s waiting area will be entertained by screens showing 45 short works by Canadian filmmakers, both established and emerging. Marshall Fels Elliott, Amanda Forbis, Line Severinsen and Wendy Tilby will all be showcasing their films at this location.

The Canada Pavilion is expected to draw more than five million visitors, or an average of 30,000 per day over the six-month Expo.
