2017 Ecological Design Award

Third-year undergraduate design students are invited to apply for the 2017 Ecological Design Award. This year's award is valued at approximately $500. To be eligible, the successful applicant or applicants will refer to specific work or projects that:

  • demonstrate a broad potential social/ecological effect
  • show evidence of a real and practical potential for implementation
  • exhibit social/political awareness of the complex issues involved

The award will be applied to the winning student's fourth-year tuition. Applicants will complete the application and provide supporting materials to ebouchard@ecuad.ca.

Application deadline:  Monday, April 10, 4pm

About the Award:
The Ecological Design Award was established in 2014 by Dr. Rory Wallace, Associate Professor in Critical Studies at Emily Carr (retired), in recognition of the importance of design in the crucial effort to remediate the ecological relationships of people and the planet.
