You’ll go from wondering:

  • What on earth is licensing and how does it work?
  • Where do I even start?
  • It sounds super complicated and scary. - I’m scared!
  • I don’t want to get ripped off.

To knowing:

  • The low down on copyright and what you need to know about your rights.
  • How to get kick-ass images of your work that you’ll be proud to share with the world
  • The 5 MUST ASK Questions to ask licensors before you sign anything
  • How to approach licensors like a confident professional and get the results you deserve.

This 2 hour workshop is taught by Katie Brennan (Emily Carr BFA 2005), an artist who has been successfully licensing her work for over 6 years to interior designers, manufacturers and retailers. Her work has been sold at Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma Home, among others and has appeared in the pages of House & Home, House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens and Good Housekeeping.

What students of the Art Licensing Roadmap are saying:

“I’ve always thought about licensing my work but was too intimidated to contact any licensor’s because I didn’t know anything about the process. Having participated in Katie’s workshop, I feel much more confident in my ability to pitch my work and negotiate my fees. Katie is very knowledgeable and was easily able to answer all of my questions. I would highly recommend her course to any artist who wants to be a successful licensee.” — NICOLE YOUNG, ARTIST

“Katie knows her stuff! She is friendly, easy to learn from, and open to all of your questions. Before this workshop I didn’t have a clue where to start to license my own work, but now I feel well equipped with that knowledge.” — JESS KAUFMAN OF LUPINE ART STUDIO, COURTENAY, BC
