Museum of Vancouver Happy Hour Choir Series, Featuring West End Chamber Choir & Rhythm ‘n’ Roots

Two of Vancouver’s dynamic choirs share an evening of singing and engagement. Series curated by Dominique Hogan.

The West End Chamber Choir has been performing classical and contemporary music under the inspirational direction of Natalia Manolov since 2009. WECC’s enthusiastic members are committed to sharing their joy of singing with the community, performing three to five concerts yearly.

The primary focus of the ensemble is learning major works, performing in more than 10 languages over the course of their 10 year history.

  • Carmina Burana (Orff)
  • Gloria (Vivaldi)
  • Messa di Gloria (Puccini)
  • Requiem (Verdi)
  • Requiem (Mozart)
  • Symphony of Psalms (Stravinsky)
  • Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noel (Poulenc)

The choir rehearses every Monday evening at West End Community Centre. New singers are always welcome.  

Rhythm ‘n’ Roots is a joyful, adventurous and soulful ensemble - fearlessly performing powerful songs drawn from diverse vocal traditions throughout the world.  

Rhythm ‘n’ Roots is an auditioned community choir under the direction of Karla Mundy.

Admission: Pay What You Can at the door ($10+ suggested donation).
First come, first served seating arrangement. The auditorium seats 200 patrons.

Come early, enjoy more! The concert starts at 7:00pm but Pay What You Can admission at MOV starts at 5:00pm!
