Individual iPads              

Emily Carr students and faculty are able to borrow iPads from the University Library. iPads will be loaned on a first-come first-served basis. Please visit the Library for more information or to borrow an iPad.

Please note that we are unable to offer technical support with the iPads. 

If you are logging into iCloud, please log out before returning the iPad.  

Loan Period

  • 7 day loan
  • No renewals
  • iPads are available on a first-come, first-served basis
  • iPads are not available for reservation or holds

Applications + Content

The iPad comes preloaded with the default Apple applications.

iPad borrowers are encouraged to install additional applications. However, please note that technical support is not available and all applications and data (including content and apps paid for by the Borrower) will be erased when the iPad is returned to the Library.

iPad Terms of Use

The working condition of the iPad will be assessed before checkout and upon its return. iPad borrowers are responsible for damage, loss or theft of iPads, power cords, adapters and cases. A replacement and processing fee will be charged for any lost or damaged items. iPad borrowers must not leave the iPad unattended at any time.

iPads must be returned to a staff member at the Library circulation desk, before the scheduled closing time on the due date. To avoid damage or loss, and additional charges, iPads must NOT be returned in book return bins.
