I am a practicing creative entrepreneur, an educator and am currently pursuing a practice based PhD with the Glasgow School of Art stationed at the Creative Campus in the Highlands of Scotland. My research is embedded in the contemporary discourse around sustainability, fashion activism and post growth economics and frames questions around how design innovation intersects socially equitable practice and alternative business strategy.
MONO is my platform and through this platform I critically respond to the current state of the fashion industry and begin to identify new methods that can re-frame its current paradigm.
MONO is a platform that can be many things. Right now it is a contently scaled back version of what it once was. Sometimes its output is soft products like clothing or accessories, sometimes collaborations with other creative folk, sometimes commisioned large scale undertakings and sometimes just an outlet for reflection.
