CEDA 700: Intro to UI + UX Design

This course introduces UI and UX, the essential tools required to create compelling user experiences for desktop, tablet, and mobile users. Students will learn to plan and design effective user interfaces based on aesthetic, psychological, scientific, and technological considerations. Topics include user-centred design, identifying requirements, and information architecture. Students will build mock-ups and create wireframes to test the user experience. This course is offered online by OCADU Continuing Studies. (OCADU course number CSDM-N151.) It is delivered through a series of pre-recorded tutorials and related assignments which students may complete at their own pace via Canvas, a Learning Management System. While there are no scheduled class meeting times, the instructor is available throughout the course for questions and discussions. Students must register through ECUAD to complete the UX/UI Associate Certificate program. Recommended Prerequisite(s): It is strongly recommended that CECD 100 be completed prior to commencing further courses in the program.
