CEDR 206: Drawing the Portrait

This course provides an in-depth study of the head for portraiture. Using a variety of media, including charcoal, ink, and graphite, you will explore proportion, resemblance, texture, shape and expression. Basic structural analysis of the human head will be covered. Course work includes drawing directly from a model.

Prerequisites: 

CEDR 100 Introductory Drawing is strongly recommended
