CEID 390: Critical Topics in Design

Explore human-centered design in relation to culture and society, individual experiences and physical ergonomics in this critical topic course. With depleting resources and the disruption of new technologies, the designer's role is shifting toward the optimization of sociological, ecological and environmental sustainability. Through lectures, discussions, assigned reading and in-class assignments, this course challenges new and practicing designers to meaningfully consider designed products within the context of the contemporary human experience, and our sustainable presence on this planet through responsible, relevant and valuable design.
