In this course, students will expand their practice through the essential skill of digital illustration with Adobe Creative Cloud's Illustrator. Students will learn fundamentals of vector based graphics using essential Illustrator tools and techniques such as line and pen tools, brush and stroke options, shape-builder, and alignment. Learning from contemporary digital illustrators, students will explore the scope of Illustrator's applications in digital illustration and elevate their creative potential in preparation for the illustration industry. Please note that CEIL 101 Introductory Digital Illustration: Illustrator requires:  - Computer (laptop or desktop) - Digital pen tablet (e.g. Wacom Intuos or Huion pen tablets)  - Adobe Illustrator (current version) Note: Unfortunately the current iPad app versions of Illustrator do not have the necessary features for this course's curriculum.
