This course is designed for those beginning to explore photography using a digital camera or for those wanting to add digital techniques to their current photographic practice. While focusing on the specific nature of digital photography, you will also be exposed to larger considerations of composition, lighting and framing. Additionally, you will learn basic image editing and printing techniques. The course is organized around a series of projects, but also offers you the opportunity to work on your independent projects.

Basic Mac computer experience is strongly recommended; students must bring their own digital camera with USB connectivity

Essential Items

* DSLR or digital mirrorless fully manual equivalent camera
* Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Lightroom Classic installed on
students computer
* Hi-Speed Internet Connection

For certain online course which require Adobe software, students
are responsible for purchasing their own software for course.
Trial versions of the software are sometimes available on the
company website, but at this time there are no discounts
available for Continuing Studies students. (Estimated cost: US
$20/month)
