CEPR 106: Introductory Intaglio

Produce an edition of dynamic, embossed prints using different intaglio processes on copper plate surfaces. Through engraving, etching, aquatint, and using multiple plates, students will create experimental compositions which are pressed into prepared paper. From bold color to fine lines to unexpected acid textures, intaglio is a unique historical print method with exciting contemporary applications.
