CEPR 901 SU01: Monotype Printing

Jul 6
Jul 6

In this 6-hour workshop, students will explore printing without a press using water-based inks and monotype printing techniques. By painting ink directly onto plexiglass and pressing it into paper by hand, students will create different kinds of monotype prints, including atmospheric tonal prints, line transfers, and full colour. Monotypes' (also called monoprints) potential for at-home printing as well as incorporation into paintings and illustrations will be discussed.
