COMD 204: Typographic Communication

This course introduces fundamental concepts in history, terminology, and type classification to students. Exercises and projects explore typography from micro to macro perspectives, including the study of letterforms, basic type composition, proportion and grids, hierarchy, legibility, and expression. This course provides fundamentals that will prepare students for COMD 214 Typographic Communication II.

Priority is given to COMD students in Year 2. Students outside of the registration priority group may register/waitlist for this course as of the registration rule release date.
