Wireless Network Access

Wireless connectivity is available for students, faculty, staff, and guests to connect to the Emily Carr network and the internet using their own computers.

This page documents the wireless access procedures for the:

  • ECI_Wireless network

    ECUAD network

    eduroam network

ECI_Wireless is a open access network that request users to provide an e-mail address before they may access any resources. Emily Carr students, faculty and staff are recommended to use the ECUAD network. ECI_Wireless is primarily for Continuing Studies students & guest access.

ECUAD is a secure network that authenticates users using the user's email address and password. In order to use this network, your  password must have been created after or changed at least once since September, 2012.

eduroam authentication has also been implemented. It connects to the eduroam federation for offsite visitors. It will also permit Emily Carr staff and students to visit eduroam federated universities, and log into their networks using their Emily Carr login.

The procedures for connecting differ, depending on the client computer or device.
